Denise joined Smile Naples’ team three years ago as an appointment coordinator. She worked in dentistry for over 15 years, then went into the medical field where she worked in reception in radiology, endocrinology, gynecology, and family medicine. She always had a love for dentistry and was happy to get back into the field in 2019. Denise and her husband of almost 35 years have a terrific friendship. They enjoy traveling together, specifically, on cruises. They’ve been on over 20! A favorite destination so far was to Spain, and they are looking forward to going to Italy in the future. They have a boat of their own and are on it as much as possible. They have a daughter and two grandkids who are their greatest joys!
Lauren has been working in our office for over eight years now. She is what we call the Director of First Impressions up at the front desk. Her vibrant smile and upbeat attitude can’t be missed. She loves taking care of our patients, and is very understanding of their needs. Lauren is the daughter of Smile Naples’ previous dentist, whom has since has retired. We have seen her grow up in the office and love watching her journey. She is married for six years and a proud mom of two lovely children, (12 months apart!) which keep her very busy when she’s not working. Her family being from St. Louis, she is a Cardinals and Blues fan. She will say she is a Miami Dolphins fan by default, given her husband is a die-hard supporter.
Larissa is a Registered Dental Hygienist, and has been cleaning teeth for over 25 years. She began her career as a dental assistant, therefore possessing additional clinical skills that are invaluable to our office. She attended hygiene school in Gainesville all while working. As you would expect, she became a huge Gator fan. (As anyone in Gainesville would, in that spirited environment!) Larissa has a real love for helping others. She is super knowledgeable of the correlation between oral health and overall health and is a natural educator. Larissa is one of seven siblings, all out of town, and is pleased to work at Smile Naples as she feels she has found her chosen family in both her co-workers and her patients.
Cindy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for almost 30 years, 6 of them in this office. She was a dental assistant for 10 years prior to that. She has experience working for an oral surgeon as well as a periodontist. Cindy is passionate about educating our patients about oral health, prevention, and improving home care. She often looks forward to seeing a patient at their re-care appointment and is driven by the improvement she sees in their oral health after taking her advice. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys gardening, watching baseball, and college football. Each year, Cindy participates in Our Cure PSP Awareness and Memorial Walk. She is dedicated to fundraising/raising awareness to fight Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Helen is a registered dental hygienist. She has been in dentistry for over 18 years. You may find Helen’s story quite unique. From 2003-2016, Helen was an international dentist in Venezuela! She has experience in prosthodontics, implants, aesthetics, and general dentistry.
Helen moved to the United States in 2016 and worked as a Dental Assistant for 4 years learning techniques performed in our country. In 2021, she tested (many tests!) and acquired her Hygiene license. She began in our office July 26, 2021, and is a helping hand in all areas as she has many skills! Helen will work as a hygienist in our office as she continues to grow and improve herself personally and professionally. Helen’s ultimate goal is to become licensed as a Dentist here in the U.S. so you just may want to keep an eye on her! Her determination is contagious!
Helen has been married to her husband over 14 years. They have 2 daughters, Estefania (13yrs) and Valentina. (9yrs) They love spending time together, going to the beach, and watching their girls learn taekwondo.
Andie has been a dental assistant at Smile Naples for over two years, and is no stranger to dentistry! She has been working in the field for over 33 years. She has experience working in both the “front” (administrative) and the “back” (clinical) of the office. Andie and her husband Charlie, have been married for almost 30 years. They have a very smart (and funny!) son with an associates degree from Florida SouthWestern State College. He did dual enrollment his senior year of high school and was able to accomplish his degree in one year! We treat generations of families at our office; Andie enjoys working with big families as she is one of seven herself! Her outgoing and friendly personality will make you feel at ease when coming to your dental appointment.
Aime is the newest member of our dental family. She joined our practice in Dec 2021. Aime’s work ethic is incredible. Aime is the first to volunteer to do something if it will help someone out. She is always pushing herself to be better and is dedicated to doing things the right way. When she’s not working here, you may see her serving tables at Bravo. She loves traveling and is always saving up for that next trip. She recently traveled to New York City and has planned trips to Mexico and the Caribbean up ahead. Her dream is to one day visit Hawaii and see the volcanoes. Aime is very close with her family, especially her mother and sister. She is a proud aunt to her first niece, Hailey, now 4 months old. Amy is a terrific addition to the Smile Naples Team.
Christina is our hygiene assistant and Danielle’s (Smile Naples’ Practice Manager) younger sister. She helps our hygienists rotate rooms and does their periodontal charting. Our clinicians consider themselves spoiled since she sterilizes and restocks their instruments and is always there to help if they are in a pickle! Christina wears many hats in our office, from helping with x-rays/photos, to charting/treatment planning, restocking/inventory, and cleaning/organizing; she pretty much helps out wherever it is needed.
In 2020, Our previous hygiene assistant of 20 years resigned on short notice due to concerns of her risk for complications with Covid. We were just returning from our 2 month closure, so Danielle reached out to her sister for immediate help with patient screenings, temperature checks, and constant wipe downs, just until someone new could be hired. Being a team player, she handled the demands very well; there is no job that is beneath her. Our wonderful team welcomed her with open arms. After three months of her “helping out,” we are happy to say that we offered Christina the position and she is now a full-time member of the Smile Naples team. She has been with us for over a year now. As they say when one door closes, another door opens. Christina is proof of that!
Danielle’s first job as a teenager in 1995 was for Smile Naples’ previous dentist, rotating rooms, sterilizing instruments, confirming appointments, and filing charts. She earned her dental assisting and x-ray certifications at the University of Florida during her senior year and was able to participate in the “co-op” program at school which allowed her to work full time, gain experience and get school credit for it. She left the office in 1999 for college, all while working in the dental field. She later joined her dental family once again in 2011. Danielle has over 25 years’ experience working in general dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, periodontal surgery, and endodontics. She has been a floater, appointment coordinator, hygiene assistant, certified dental assistant, patient coordinator, office manager, and now director of operations. Working the many different positions has given her a full understanding of the duties and what can make things smoother. She is always working on growing herself, and has had extensive training in management, leadership, and is a certified life coach. Danielle now proudly manages the office, focusing on customer service, quality work, and doing things with compassion and integrity. She is committed to the triple win: The Doctor Wins, The Team Members Win, and The Patients Win!
